Here I am exploring the use of decorative slips and underglazes in combination with slip transfers on more or less two dimensional surfaces. They say the plate is the potters canvas and ultimately I think this is true. Some pieces are tiles, some pieces play with notions of “high” and “low” art by using clay as a medium. All are intended to be hung on the wall as a traditional painting would be.
